Belarus is open to cooperation with all countries participating in the Belagro 2023 expo, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Leonid Zayats said on the sidelines of the international exhibition Belagro 2023 on 6 June, BelTA has learned.
“We are really proud of the fact that we are hosting the 33rd edition of the Belagro expo. Here we summarize international experience in agricultural engineering. We demonstrate the development of science in Belarus and our achievements in the food industry. I emphasize that we are open to cooperation with all countries participating in this exhibition,” Leonid Zayats said.
In his words, the first Belagro expo was held in 1990.
“Back then we did not have much reason to be proud, but today our country has acquired a completely different status. Today we welcome half the continent at our exhibition. Despite the sanctions, representatives of EU countries come to us as well. Our country demonstrates outstanding achievements in the agro-industrial and petrochemical complexes. Belarusian science is also in step with the times, providing us with new seeds and technologies,” the deputy prime minister said.
The international exhibition Belagro 2023 is taking place in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone on 6-11 June. The exhibition features the advanced trends in the development of crop production, animal husbandry and poultry farming, modern technologies for processing, packaging and storage of products and a variety of agricultural machinery. The agricultural forum traditionally brings together not only Belarusian farmers and workers of the food and processing industry but also their foreign counterparts and partners. This year, the event features 450 companies from Belarus, Russia, China, Pakistan, Turkiye, Vietnam, Germany, Italy, India, and Palestine. The business program will offer some 20 themed conferences and seminars.
