Soft loan program for buying Belarusian goods updated

The government has expanded the list of goods, which can be bought using soft loans from Belarusbank. The move is stipulated by the Council of Ministers’ resolution No.228 of 29 March 2024, which has been officially published by the national legislation registry, BelTA has learned.

The resolution came into force as of the official publication date.

The list of goods, which can be bought with a loan granted with the interest rate of 4% per annum for a period of up to three years, has been expanded.

Now Belarusians can use the soft loans to buy sets of timber products for building wooden houses, wooden windows and doors, laminated flooring materials, ceramic granite, air purifiers and cooker hoods. As well as attachments and trailing equipment for power tillers, mini-tractors, heating gas boilers, garden swings and furniture, folding beds, food processors, meat grinders, mixers, choppers, built-in ovens, carpets and carpet goods made of genuine leather and genuine fur.

Apart from that, the list of manufacturers, which goods can be bought with a loan, has been expanded. The loan program for buying Belarusian goods has been extended till the end of 2025.
