Belarus’ fixed-capital investments at Br14bn in January-May

In January-May 2024 Belarus’ fixed-capital investments amounted to Br14 billion, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee.

The regional breakdown is the following: Minsk Oblast is in the lead (24.4%) followed by Minsk (19.4%), Brest Oblast (13.6%), Gomel Oblast (13.3%), Grodno Oblast (11%), Vitebsk Oblast (9.5%), and Mogilev Oblast (8.8%).

As far as the technological structure of fixed-capital investments is concerned, construction and installation works accounted for 47.6%, machines, equipment, and vehicles - for 39.2%, and other kinds of works and costs - 13.2%.

The share of state investments in the total fixed-capital investments reached 44.2%, with the share of private investments at 52.2% and foreign investments at 3.6%.
