Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko authorized the appointment of Igor Lyashenko as Director General of OAO Grodno Azot on 26 January. The newly appointed executive told mass media about the main tasks his new job involves, BelTA has learned.
Among the key tasks Igor Lyashenko mentioned the construction of a new nitrogen complex, which, in his words, is not only of global importance for the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim but will have a tangible effect on the entire country. The results the project will produce are significant for Belarusian agricultural enterprises and for increasing the country’s export potential.
“The second task we also have to accomplish is the profound modernization of the available installations. It has to proceed without shutting down the main manufacturing process (in the period of major overhauls) and has to increase the output capacity,” Igor Lyashenko said.
He drew attention to the need to ensure the stable operation of the enterprise taking into account its peculiarities and ecological risks. “Everything should work in a way so as not to give any reasons for concern. We should be absolutely confident that the existing installations and new ones will work safely and effectively,” Igor Lyashenko stressed.
The new head of the enterprise also mentioned the importance of work with the Grodno Azot employees. “Everything depends on the team. It is my personal conviction and my personal experience,” he said. “I know Grodno Azot’s team well. This is why we are going to work and will accomplish the assigned tasks.”
